Exclamation Titanium apex seals...what happened

Hi.
In the other post about Titanium apex seals,i said that a guy i know made some.I hard last night from him what happened.( he did the clearancing and everything perfect)

started quick, first try,let it run for some 10 min.
Try again, doesnt really want to start, put some ATF in,starts.
Following day:Went for a small, drive,low on power,sounds horrible,splutters the whole time,engine noisey.

He dismantled it again.
Apex seals look like they have done 400 00 miles, all worn down.Rotor housing hard chrome coating weared off.
Rotor bearing stuffed.

So it was a complete waste of money and time

Bummer. Looks like Marcus (Turbostreetfighter) nailed what would happen as far as failure is concerned. But I still feel bad for someone when a project goes south like that
