times for semi modified 3rd gen

Hey i'm curious of what kind of times i can acheive on my car with these specs:

93 tour 5spd
-Downpipe
-Trust Catback
-Efini Y-pipe

Just curious what kind of times i would be running with just this setup. And also curious if i can take out Turbo Hondas? Cuz i heard that with just stock a turbo integra w/ the basic upgrades could take us out. some feed back greatly appreciated.

Best way to tell, is for you to actually go to the track because it all depends on if you can drive or not. The y-pipe doesn't do anything as far as perforamance goes. When I had just a cat back and dp, I ran a 13.2 so figure in that range. As far as turbo bullshit hondas, you can beat them stock all day less they have about $40,000 in the pile of ****.

Hey thanks for the reply.... 13.2 sounds pretty cool with just the DP and catback upgrade. makes me feel more confident running those turbo hondas. =)

my best time when my car was light mod was a 13.4@104

my 60 foot was around a 2.1 on street tires. mods at the time were. downpipe, highflow cat, apexi dunk cat back, and a airfilter.
i was hitting boost cut 2 times during the run. it was around 11psi. so I think i lost around 2 10ths of a sec at least when it cut. my a/f meter alwasy showed rich, but the boost cut or whatever took some time away. my clutch was slipping some at this point too.

With those mods you should be good for low - mid 13's but to hit the low 13's you'll probably need a set of drag radials.

Thanks

My 93 R1 has basically very similar mods

SR downpipe
RB dual tip cat-back
Efini y-pipe (first thing I did and it DID add a little top end breathing)

Best time is a 13.598@102.85

I've written in other places 103.85mph before but I checked the time slip and I made a mistake.

60' time was 2.005, and I had to slip the clutch a little on the launch to get it. I have an ACT street clutch I wouldn't recommend slipping a stock clutch.

What would times be if I add the following to his list:

PowerFC (tuned for 14psi)
Greddy Stock Mount IC.
RB CAI duct.?

Would I go into the mid 12s?

Running 245/45/16 S02's in the rear.

From what I've seen, there are other factors that affect your time - driver skill (moderate level required), outside temps, track surface, car condition, etc. I've seen a well-maintained R2 with dp and catback run a 14.1. The driver simply couldn't get anything better out of the car.....

Just take your car to the track and find out. You might be a great driver or suck at driving - like stated earlier. Some FD's just run better than others. With your mods I'd say with some driver error 13.6-13.8 and 13.3-13.4 if you know how to drive and your FD is "running and maintained" well. Adding a Power FC and IC will definitely put you in the 12's but leave the boost at 12lbs unless you plan upgrading the fuel system. Even at 12lbs you can be at 12.7 with those mods. You never know until you go to the track though. Turbo HonDUHS don't they all run 17's - and the thing about it is they are proud of those times. There's a car club in my area with like 100 cars in it and the fastest car runs 15.0 and they said "If you want in we'll have to vote you in" Why would I want to be a part of the "15 second club"? Hondas suck
