those with a FMIC or cold air setup

I am looking to get my air filter out of the engine bay and into the stream of air that the rad and oil cooler get

I have seen some ppl cutting away at the car to put there FMIC tubing up there

just curious if you guys can show me where you cut and what all you did so I can move my filter up there on my 87 sport

i've got a question in the same vein as this one ...

for the guys that are running turbos on the Gen I cars, how do you cope with space in the nose to get air to the oil cooler, intercooler and radiator all in tandem?

I'm going to have a full custom setup in about a month. just waiting for parts.... I'm moving the rad back 4" at the top. giving enough space to run a 3" pipe around the pass side for an intake. and pipes on either side for a FMIC. no cutting. just need an electric fan.

how much of a difference on my N/A do you think it would make getting my filter out in front of the rad into the opening in front of the car?

I know right now the screen around my filter will get hot enough that it can burn my hand if I am not carefull
