T2 Intake

Whats the best intake for a series 4 T2? The mariah one looked nice but will it work with the TID mod? Or should I go with the HKS?

I had the HKS on 2 cars, and it worked just as advertised. If you want to save some money you could just buy the air flow meter adapter and get a generic K&N filter. That would cost about $80, and the performance gain will be similar.

All I know is that the HKS does the worst job filtering the air and not so hot on the performance gains. Check out the "Intake Poll" here in the performance section & there is a link to a test done on 4 or 5 intake filters.

The Apexi seems to be the best from that comparison test, unfortunately it does me no good as it's only available for 89+ cars. Does anyone know if it can be adapted to the 87 & 88 cars?

I have the HKS & I am wondering if poor filtration contributed to my recent engine failure.

Go to www.dynamic-turbo.com They show it for 86-91 Rx7s so it should work.

I don't know, I have an adaptor plate on mine that I bought from Rx_treme on here. I measured it and think it is 3".
