Stupid Question
Engine rebuilders,
I am getting ready for a rebuild of my 94 FD and I have what may be a stupid question. I realize that most turbo'd cars have lower compression ratios than N/A ones. It seems to make sense to me though that using higher compression rotors in a turbo car would make more power. One should be able to run less boost and get the same power, right? Also, due to higher compression, at idle one would make more power in the lower RPM range before boost comes on. Maybe I am dead wrong? That being said is it possible to run RX8 rotors in a 13b REW? If not what are the highest compression ratio rotors that would be available for this application?

WTF?
If you run lower compression ratio, you can turn up the boost.
You would think that everything will be equal, i.e. compression ratio = more boost, but this is not the case.
There was a good thread on this showing experience that lower CR + more boost will always make more power...
