ok guys some of you may know or not...I am doing a miata rotary swap..I am almsot done and got the starter in but it wont hit the flywheel..now her is is the issue..my flywheel and clutch set is custom made...and I think the guys in cali did a booboo and now my ring gear is about half inch too farr away (closer to engine)
so I need to think of a way to machine bellhousing so starter can go in more or find a longer neck starter that will run in more and reach the ring gear.............

the guy in cali said to try this first before we consider shipping it out to them for the proper fix...ohh well i like doing things the hard way I guess...

anyway for you info it is a aluminum set up CNC milled with twin disk 5.5
I sent him ring gear and counterweight and he made it for me...that is where the mistake was as I should have sent him an older flywheel too so he could get ringgear location set right..i guess

any help guys any at all would be fantastic

this was a 1500 set up and really want it to work
