What do you guys thing, making power at 9500 on a large street port with a t60?
for that i think that you'd need a Gt42r a 1/2 or full bridge port dowl pinned motor ect......

I know how to build the motors i'm just not totally pro at tuning them but I will be, so any ideas??? It was fully tuned when the motor came out and now after I put the exacts same motor back in, (nothing changed)..., it falls on its face at 8000rpms..... I know even with stock ports I pulled to 8500rpms...

no one cares It sounds like you have a personal issue with this person. Why should anyone contribute to your cause of trying to make them look bad. It holds NO technical merit. As this is the tech section. Try posting in the lounge, you'll probably get alot of assclowns to post

all he's saying is it "pulled" up to 9990. "pulled" is a pretty loose term. so it "making power".
as far as cross posting on rx7club and calling someone bs, well I have an opinion on that

I dont see how or why this isnt doable. Im not sure what that turbos efficiency range is, so as tie pilot mentioned, he might not really be making power up there, but getting there isnt something unheard of. I personaly intend to set my redline to 9k on a street port and T88 turbo (so I can keep the turbo in its efficiency range). Im about to buy a lightweight flywheel before I put my new tranny in just so I can knock the redline up and not get worried about the stock flywheel shattering. Id be fine with setting the redline at 10k, but the tach stops at 9 and I dont feel like buying an aftermarket tach.

if you ask some of the more experienced tuners they will tell you rotaries are iffy after 8k, i believe its because the apex seals begin to pull in from the housing walls due to the hourglass shape of the housing

The engine is making power that high.
What's the big deal?
You never said how MUCH power.
If it was NOT making power, the engine would be dead or not running.

spoon!
Yeah sure you could spin to 9900... it's probably past the *peak* horsepower, but it's not like there's a magic line where suddenly the engine stops making any power.

9900 RPM and CHANGE
Its really very simple guys! He's useing an aftermarket tach set on V-8. So he's really only turning 4950 RPM. Or something like that (I think)(maby)(ahhh s#@t, first liar doesn't have a chance)
