Thumbs down Smoking after heavy Acceleration

Hey just rebuilt my 12a and ported it to a streetport, its only done 130kms so far and ive been slowly opening it up to about 6000rpm. Thing is after i shift i get a burst of oil smoke from the exsaust, sound like a O ring seal not put back in perfect? or just breaking in still.

I did have a problem when i first rebuilt it, fool me wasnt paying much attention and put 1 of the o-ring bush's in upsidedown and a had a nice flow of oil from the mufflar and lost about 1/2 sump in about 1min. Needless to say i striped changed the seal and rebuilt it.

Just wondering if anyone new a cause for this? i thought it might be due to either oil build up or something in the secondaries or ecentric shaft seals not sealing to good gez i dont know any help would be know.

Its a carby engine too, 4 barrel jimmy.

umm youve only done 130kms??? when i rebuilt my motor i was told nothing over 4000rpm for the first 1000km.

But anyway, what you need to find out is if it it only after accelerating or is it smoking during. does it smoke at startup?? does the sump level drop much?? is the OMP working, is it premix??

what colour smoke?? etc etc, lots of questions can be asked

if its just a little bit of smoke i wouldnt worry too much, if its clouds of thick black smoke id be ripping it apart and using all new rubber seals just incase some were faulty

hope it helped a little

yer as i didnt do the bearing because it was fully rebuilt less then 10000kms ago, i was just basically porting it out streetport.

It does smoke on startup if i havent driven it for a few days. But yer mainly smokes after acceleration when i shift, havent left the engine at the higher revs before so im not sure if it is smoking constatly up past 5000rpm.

Its blue smoke, hence oil. Not premix but should i set it up so it is as its basically a stripted block with only intake and exaust. Sump level doesnt drop, well not more then usual.

Cheers though dude.
