I run Seafoam every once in awhile thru the vac hose going to the brake booster, put it in a cup and let the motor draw it up. Its gonna try to stall and holy ***** its gonna smoke to high hell but I havent had a problem doing it and notice a more stable idle afterwards. The only thing I could see being a problem with doing that is knocking a huge piece of carbon loose and lodging it into an Apex seal. Its a crap shoot really but its worth a try in my book.

I was always under the impression the real reason to rev the engine was to make sure you open up the 6th ports on the N/A, because carbon will build up in the ports. Then the one day you do rev the engine, the big clump of carbon falls out and kisses your housings. I'd imagine that without taking the engine apart, you're not going to be able to clean that bit of carbon out.

And t-von, why do you believe that Chevron is better than Mobil, or BP, or 76? I'm seriously asking, I know they all use different amounts of detergents, but why do you say the techron is so much better?
