IMO dry sump is only needed in cars that corner so hard they starve the pickup. And even then, a properly baffled and trap doored pan would likely fix the issue. Car tracking

I think that a dry sump is mandatory if you want to get serious on a race track. Especially if you fit semi-slicks or full slicks
