RX3 "MERCY" ran 9.30@148mph(untubbed) - Calder OZ
See this note from Anthony Rodrigues on the AUsrotary Forum, these Guru boxes are starting to really prove themselves in both Drag and Circuit racers. Well done Anthony for a great drive.
'You are right the only mod we did to the Rx3 was to put a new Guru street drag race 5 speed with the overdrive 5th gear. Unfortunately the clutch wasnt quiet up to the task but faster times will definitely be on the agenda once we can get the clutch to hang on.
The first pass was driven using the clutch and a conservative launch, however the moment we used it as a dog box (2nd run)it hit the clutch in 2nd much harder and just flared all the way through. this resulted in a 9.33 but should have been faster. Before the last pass we pushed the car all the way around to the water to keep as much heat out of the clutch as posssible. A short sharp burn out and the clutch was definitely going to play ball. The cars previous best 60ft was in th high 1.50's and when you jump into the low 1.30's some attention must be given to the rear end as the car becomes a different animal. On this pass it did and I thought it was better not to use both lanes on the track so I got out of it. Another clutch and new tyres should see Mercy go faster soon.
We are currently testing this box for use in the USA NHRA drag scene following interest from Ari Yallon who owns the fastest Rotary street car in the world. High 9's on radials.
A huge thanks must go to Sean Lewis for letting me drive and use his car to test and Lino Alessi(Maztec) for preparing the car as he has always. done for me.'
Previous best time was improved from 9.63 pretty damn good pickup in et for just a box
Cheers, Twister

Beat me to it guys! As soon as I get a chance to speak to Rohan I will report on the progress of the full test. Until then all I can confirm is that this box is tough as nails and will definitely find its name right alongside the boys from Jerico and G force for a streetable drag racing box.
