rx-8 e-shaft
I was just wondering if you can use the rx-8 e shaft in the older 13bs. I know the stat gears fit but i think the e-shaft from the rx-8 has slightly smaller journals and it tappers at the back i heard im just wondering if simple machinning of the shaft will allow it to fit in. since the shaft it cheaper than the older 13b shafts. The rx-8's have hardened stat gears and are cheaper than oem 13b gears.

Ok, so by the sounds of it using the RX-8 E-shaft is fairly easy to do, I have access to a full machine shop so machining won't be a problem for me.
I'm wondering do the oil ports run through the center of the shaft? I've never seen one in person to know. I'm wondering because I want to make an attempt to modify it to flex less at high rpm which would require some special boring through the center.

i've got a renny e-shaft in my fd motor.
i used the renny stationaries and rotor bearing too, though.
it's bolt-in, other than having to oval out the oil inlet on the rear stationary.
