Rebuild Question?

Im new to rotarys but im trying to learn some stuff, and get myself familiar with them. I have a junk 12A that I tried my hands at taking apart, and ive done alot of reading up on them. I plan on building a rotary to go into my 7 in the near future, soon as I get a few more dollars in my wallet and more knowledge in my head.

What would it cost to build a 12A? To build one up to give it more power, yet staying N/A. What all would I be looking at doing and what would it cost me (estimate). If you need to know what im looking for in the engine to help, I want to bring the 12a alive and get more power out of it, but at the same time no go all out with a turbo or something. Im used to rebuilding V8's I can build one with a blindfold on basically....but im lost when it comes to costs of a rotary. Anybody mind sharing their knowledge?

for a rebuild kit.... 800-1200 bucks.
porting and polishing... 2-500 professional, or 20 for a dremel and DIY
irons (side housings) ground (lapped)- 100-150 at a reputable machine shop

hte job itself is really easy, much easier than building a piston engine.

well...that is a base price... i usually set aside 2k, and that completely covers everything down to vac hoses and wire connectors and **** like that, and if youre lucky you might have a couple hundred left over.

the only time it should cost over 1500 or so is if youve got damaged rotors or housings, then you start getting into more money.
