Im using a set or 3 in a few motors I have built for friends and myself, my own 87 TII has a set in it and is making well over 300hp.

I like them, and at $186 a set, I cant complain.

I've got them in my motor, which I built. Motor has 9400 miles and sees high boost (17psi)everytime I turn her on. I also autoX her.

haven't lost a bit of compression either

yes, RA springs. I never read/heard the warning on the RA seals about their springs until the motor was already built and tuned. I'm not sure that warning was on my seals, as they changed the way they packaged them after my motor was put together.

I tuned a car up to 19psi with RA seals and stock springs...later the car was tuned 22-23psi, no issues.

back when i built my car last year, there was a very bad batch of them on the market...many motors blown. i purchased these seals and decided to not risk it and went with 3mm stock seals. the ianetti 3mm ceramics were the best seals ive used.

Stick with stock 2mm stock mazda seals, nothing is better and can handle more then 30lbs of boost..

Mine was rebuilt with stock seals and springs, RA seals may cause increased wear on housings and plates compared to stock seals.

I plan on running 25psi with a T78

I was looking at the RA seal tonight in comparison to a new stock mazda 2pc seal, on the bottom edge of the stock seal , the edges of the seal are bevelled. They are not on the RA seal, its bevelled to reduce wear with vertical movement on the rotor groove, most likely..

My good friend just got his motor back from RX7 store, they used rotary aviation seals. Anyhow, Steve Kan tuned it to 15 psi and the seals warped . Steve said the RA seals warp easily. The motor had 1,000 miles on it.

Apparently, RX7 store is rebuilding it with stock seals this weekend for free.

Aaaaa

I'm just about to start boosting my RA seal based NA motor, up to 12ish psi. The seals came from the "engraved match number" batch from two and a half years ago.

Crap, oh well, I get to at least practice some tuning I guess.

this has been covered a bunch of times.

i personally think theyre great. i have a setof the engraved ones in my car, running 15 psi on 9.4 compression, on 91 octane fuel. I hit full boost every time i drive, and this is my daily driver, its had over 20k miles on it since i built the motor.

it is true that RA had a bad batch when they first came out, but they fixed the problem, and i think all the ones since are just fine.
