Question Quick Q about a T04E!

Hey everyone...

Is there any way to squeeze a Garrett T04E into an FC without removing the smog pump?

Thanks!,

I'm not sure if its possible or not, but I have an idea (not really mine, I've seen it done before) for you.

If you need the smog pump to pass visual inspection, nevermind. But if you need the smog pump to pass a sniffer test only, this will work for you.

You can remove the smog pump and then use an electric smog pump from a C4 or C5 corvette. They are sort of expensive, in the $150 price range, but it does the same damn thing. Just hook it up to the inlet on the catalytic converter. Do you have the stock cat? if you do... I'm not sure this will work, but if you have a Bonez high flow cat, I've seen this work (someone I know did it and told me about it, I didn't actuallyu see it) and pass emissions sniffer test by a LONGSHOT.

just some food for thought.

If you make yourt own manifold it will work fine. The HKS cast iron manifold won't allow for the air pump with most turbos. The HKS TO4E kit will set the turbo just like stock.
