PP sleve's...

This is a set of housings we have had made by a local engineer, they're using a 43mm sleve initally, then shaped to the D type port.

The planned use for these housings is an N/A engine, running a 55mm DCOE sidedraft, we're currently making the manifold and with any luck will have the engine running in a couple of weeks.

Nice, how do you keep the coolant from leaking? God I only wish I could afford to do something like that one day ! ! !

I was thinkning maybe trying the semi peripheal port on my next rebuild? I already have an Holey intake. So it should just be mostly work and not too much $$?

Did consider doing a semi PP, but decided to give these housings a run first, from what I understand, the port profile of these is a similar design to the MFR housings.

The only major issue I have found with the semi PP is finding somebody who will do the inlet manifold at a reasonable price.

With the coolant, we just fill the area surronding the sleeve's with devcon.

I press fitted my intake ports. The difference between hole bore and tube outer diameter was 4 thousands I believe. The fit looked tight to me. I think you don't even need the devcon.

I am building a semi pp and you right the intake manifold is a pain.

slight tangent...but...

If building a PP, what is the recommended way to 'fill' the O.E. ports? With what? Surely whatever it is has to take some serious abuse and if you (hmm...)weld 'em up, surely you then have to deck the housing in case they warp?

Very interested for a 'future' project!

Bah, I'm making mine with 1 3/4" OD exhaust pipe tubing and JB Weld.... JB Weld is my *friend*. I'm probably single-handedly supporting one of their factories

If I was just reefing the port all the way through to the rotor housing surface, then an alumin(i)um tube welded in would make more sense. But, I'm not, so therefore it doesn't!

The intake manifold will be somewhat bizarre too! But first things first, the engine has to be completed.

To fill the old ports, you just use an epoxy. Devcon is recommended, but that costs a lot of money. I'm going to use my good friend JB Weld in this instance

Hey, I found a very cheap source for the stuff, no more $5 for a little blister-pack with 4oz tubes!

It's a smaller peripheral intake port where you still use the side ports. In a full PP you eliminate the side ports and make the PP port very large.

These Housings are made by CLR Morotsports.
Designed for Full Race apps. Proven to make 340 Hp. when combined w/ their 52mm. Weber IDA "CLR Anular Discharge " Carb.

What RPM?

And can we get a shot of the exhaust? Those intakes are EXACTLY the same as mine, so 340hp is good news to me!
