pintle vs. disc injector

Does anyone have first hand experience with disc style injectors (RC Lucas Delphi) or reputable facts about disc injectors...

After several ours in Google all I found is two contradicting statements (I am quoting so don’t slam me)

(technical article from Bosh no less who by the way invented pintle style injectors ) “pintle is the best”

(online muscle car magazine) “many high performance "guru's" recommend disc for faster injector response”...

Anyone???

The best injectors in the world are from Injector Dynamics. Look them up. They've got some good technical info. They are pintle style btw but use technology that is 25 years more advanced than RC injectors.

in many of my builds i use the multech style 1000 rochy/marren injectors which are a disk type plug with multi hole oriface
( i only use flow matched injectors )
and i can get stock like idles even with crappy microtechs , also seamless staging when used in 550/1000 and 1000 x4 combos

these are good injectors ( when flow matched ) at a reasonable price

my thoughts on the lucas
,, seen some reputedly flowed to be 1000 cc, and they would have been closer to 300 cc going by the numbers i had to feed the ecu

they where hard to ID ( though had a lucas number code sequence ) and ended up in the bin,, couldnt trust them

feedback on the net is also far from good
be aware that the lucas and the multech are both disc plugs,, though of differing styles

both highlight that the design intention is for self cleaning , unlike pintles

PS
some pintles dont like being used at higher pressures ( 1600 indys especially )
and some pintles have rather poor patterns at higher pressures
all good reasons why the disc plug style has its place
