Question Oil Catch tanks?

I have just finished fitting a full Breather system on a Boinger Turbo, that started me thinking.

Would there be any gain in me Fitting a catch tank and Breather set up to my Rotary? (T2)

The car does run 500bhp but with very little Sump presure is it realy worth doing?

Chris

Does the TII vent from the oil filler neck to the intake before the turbo? If yes (mine does, although it's a 1st gen with TII motor) then you'll be getting an oil film in your I/C and inlet pipe work.

I recently removed my pipes and found the oil was pooling in places, which can't be good. So, I believe it's worth it. I'm gonna fit one eventually.

Very cool. I was going to run a 90 degree fitting also trying to keep it as high a possible but my strut tower brace is too close so now am going to tap and epoxy on a 10 Earl's fitting to the filler pipe which will go to my vented catch can. I am using AN fittings so as not to break my epoxied joint. I will also use a 6mm hose from my turbo inlet to help draw a vacuum. Im hopping oil vapor will not saturate my intercooler and plumbing. Hopefully the oil will fall out of suspension before it gets to my turbo inlet. I guess I will find out soon.
