any ideas?

what is the most power put down while using that IC?

a respectable tuner suggested that the m2 large was restrictive....that the most power they have seen thru it was 380rwhp. I disagreed...but wanted to get some input from you all.

Awhile ago, I knew a guy who put down 470ish rwhp with his m2 medium on a dyno. He was running a t04s though. CJ

Sounds like someone wants to sell you a front mount.

HAHAHAHAHHA....you caught my thoughts exactly.

that m2 large kicks ***.

I hope my car turns out well. for some reason i was told that my car is running out of fuel at 17lbs and 380rwhp...strange considering i was running 10.6-10.8 in all the upper rpms at a solid 16lbs with absolutely no detonation or abnormal knock levels....ive since added a midpipe though. I still should have enough fuel though for 400rwhp...as others are running those the same mods for the 400rwhp fuel/power needs.

perhaps its my fuel lines being stock size...or that nippondenso pump...but at 16lbs on the datalogit
(pre midpipe) i had no fuel issues at all and had plenty of fuel to go at least it seemed like it...i could run so rich the car would chug even at 15-16lbs before..i had to dial it back considerably...you got me...time to ask some questions tomorrow...not that 380 is bad...but i expected more.

Ray Wilson has used that same type of intercooler(but it has a different name on it, even though it's the same intercooler) to produce over 630RWHP I believe.

Yea, man there is no way the M2 large is a restriction at that power level. Try this, measure your M2 large LxWxH and come up with the cubic inches, then measure the one they are trying to sell you....I'll bet the M2large is VERY comparable in size. Then ask them to explain scientifically why thiers is sooooo much better than it can flow twice as much air thru it.

They are just trying to sell you something man, the sad thing is they are going to use that as an excuse for bad tuning.

no...they havent tried to sell me anything...it was just mentioned as to a reason why i might not make power...at least that is how it was relayed to me.

I dont trust well when it comes to my car and spending wads of cash...so i researched into it to see if anyone else had that issue. that ic is huge...i just didnt see that it was possible that it would restrict modified stock turbos.

well we shall see how it goes soon enough

a large smic, won't necessarily be a restriction but it will heat soak pretty easily w/ regular street driving. a fmic would be a better bet on a 400rwhp car that sees a lot of street driving. how many dyno pulls were done before that 380rwhp reading, maybe the smic just became heat soaked?
