Yeah on NHRA site he credits the addition of wheelie bars for the consistent 9sec passes. Amazing what a little tweak like adding wheelie bars does for a car because I haven't seen him run that consistent this year. Hope he keeps it consistent and sets a new all motor e.t. and put the rotary back on top. Besides that does anyone know when Armando "Gato" Meléndez is coming out with that 13b periferal port front wheel drive Mazda 323?

Correction. Padilla hit a 9.7 shortly after the RSX's 9.8.

Padilla has eliminated Kelley in the semis of the last two races - Kelley has been close with better reaction times.

The current national record is in reach for Padilla, the national mark is currently 9.850 held by Charles Madrid's Acura, set at Pomona in Oct 2004.

Good and bad news ... word from the track was that this might have been Jesus' last race for awhile due to lack of sponsorship. I'm going to try and do anything I can to get sponsors for racers like Jesus, it would really be something if we could all help these guys. Rotorheads unite!
