nerviuos.... smoke....

ok put this car together. and i get blue/white smoke only when i let off the throttle, other wise its just a hare smoky due to the mix and no emissions. my friend said it might be the oil control rings. what do you guy's think>> need input<<< well my only thought is can i just replace the oil control rings and do a > race port at the same time<<<< can do the porting --have toolss.. but is that the only thing it could be.. the engine runs stong- holds idle-good boost-rebuilt turbo. 25000 on healthy 13b-s4-TII. just that damn smoke.. makes me nervious as hell.. should i run it for a while to see if it goes away. or take this opportunity to port and make more power while taking a peak at the inside.. sorry i'm drunk and rambling(jumbled info)..... come on i want real input,.....

thanks in advance..

no 5spd.. but the thing is it only happens when i let off the gas. or could it be the turbo i just rebuilt...the motor seems hella strong for it to be loosing comp.. can you pull a motor apart just to change oil control seals... or what else must you replace.. the motor is low milage.. well taken care of...

When you disassemble a rotary engine, you will need to change the water seals too. They are like giant "o" rings that go between the housings and irons. They get all torn up when you separate the engine components. Those and basic gaskets should be all you need if everything else is good.

That's great, it is always good to not have to remove an engine (and that vacuum network "rats nest" which is so confusing).
