looking good so far. would like to see them a bit closer though. did you remember to smooth the edges for the side seals' path as the port closes?

Yes I have a nice smooth ramp on the closing edge to protect the side seals.
Pics was taken by my friend so I can't get bigger pics as engine is currently being assembled.

That's only necessary if the short radius is skinnied up.

From what I have learned the ramp on the port is good weather or not the port is opened to expose the side seal leading edge. It helps the port flow etter and it makes the closing less abrupt. Help keep the flow going.

Hope this helps.

B is right. Still if you extended the port far enough upward the trailing end of your side seal will drop into the port. Obviousely it will just return smoothly back into the groove simply forced back by gliding over the closing edge of the port. (no sharpe edge is exposed that can run into sidewall of the port). Still it can't hurt to smoothen the edge and if your port is extended far enough up (or even outwards)it will most likely extend the life of your side seals.

I have now done 1200 miles on my new motor, off to the dyno in the morning, I have my 105 octane race fuel, water injection, and wanna run 25psi of boost. Fingers crossed I don't go pop as I have drag race competition this Sunday.

Didn't have time to map my car up to 1.7 bar todaydue to problems with my
intercoolerhose/pipe which kept popping off anytime I tried to run more boost than 1.2 bar. I made 478 at 1.2 bar but the dyno sheet I have is the run of 470.
This is on a dyno dynamics dyno. The car feels extremely fast. Now I am off to a drag racing competition on Sunday & Monday hopefully I'll get in the 10's.
I'll post dyno sheet on Monday goto run.

This is what happened to my engine. The irons were ported too high and the corner seal was pinched making the apex seal loose, giving me loads of blow by. All is well now though. Its been rebuilt w/ new irons.
Good luck with yours.

One dyno is rear wheel the other is flywheel.
Racing this weekend was too great. I kept popping that same hose as I did on the dyno.
The mickey thompson are incredible tyres. when I warm them up witha good lengthy burn out and launch at 6500 rpm they are so sticky I bog down?
I only had 3 real runs becuase of my pipe problems quickest was 12.0 @ 123mph witha 2.1 sec 60ft

what kind of clamps do you use on the intercooler pipe couplers? do your intercooler pipes have that raised collar/lip about an inch from the ends? if it does, then you could try getting an extra pair of clamps and clamp before and after each lip. just a thought ...

i'm sure you'll be able to do better next time. just keep plugging away at it.

The intercooler pipe didn't have the lip on the end and I was using the normal hose clamps. Eventually someone lent me some industrial typeclamps in the end. I also used a little hack saw to machine the lip a bit better. I've no issues since. Just need to to raise my launch revs on the apexi pro ecu to about 7250 rpm.
and hope my diff stays put.

Don't believe those numbers at that boost.

450 flywheel yes, not 550.

Shan't. You are claiming HP figures that are not believable for the boost levels you are running. Suggests that you are using a dyno that is so far out as to be laughable.

As a customer you should be contacting re:worx and pointing out that they have issued you with power plots that are meaningless and that they really ought to get their dyno recalibrated before it gets out that it seems to read 100HP high. Not really a good ad for an outfit that advertises ' state of the art Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno' .

Not a good ad for dyno dynamics either.

1.2 bar that is about 17psi right? 470rwhp at that boost sounds about right.

A t66 @ 17psi of boost with a .96+ hotside tirm will make numbers 450HP+.

His dyno chart might be legit. Why call BS on him? He posted a freakin dyno chat!.
