MSD DIS-4 Ignition

Can this ignition be used? Im thinking about using one on my FD but wanted to know if anyone has tried using this. I have seen some people say they used a DIS-2. Now im wondering why they didn't just get a DIS-4 with four channels available so they could control up to four coils.

Most people use the Dis-2 cause they only have to control 2 duel output coils,
with the dis-4 you will need a ecu that can run 4 coils with a leading/trailing split other wise there is no point running running the dis-4 and the dis-2 will do the job fine.

Im running a Haltech. What would you guys recommend to use... I was thinking about replacing all the coils with MSD coils. i was thinking about using a MSD motorcycle coil for the leading and two of the dis coils for the trailing. But im not sure what box/boxes i will need.

Im using the Haltech and swithched to a 2nd genn coil, your stock one's are fine.
If you want to run different coils, you and get the Digital 6 for the leading and DIS 2 for the trailing and use whichever coil you like.
