I have a monster street ported Turbo II and its fricken awsome. I love the low end torque and the fact I can now stay out of boost to easily clime large hills that previously required it.

Ditto for my NA six port. Carbs arent as streetable as FI but I'm sure it would work. I still get 26mpg on the freeway, and 20 around town.

My mild street ported 13B with a carb is great in my REPU. I've got a more extended street port in the works. It just needs exhaust port work and it'll go together very soon. I'll know if it's any better than the mild ported engine in about a month (after it's had a chance to break in for a while).

It wont be unstreetable. If you have the carb tuned properly,it will be very pleasent to drive.
the idle might be a bit lumpy if the intake port really closes late, but driving comfort wont be compromised.

sorry but that IS NOT TRUE. I've always run port the motor to the max with no problem. In fact, I currently own 2. Both my son's FB and my RX-3 are powered by monster streetport with IDA. IMHO, if you're going to port an all motor, go all the way. Forget about mild streetport or whatever. Just port it to the max.

Wackyracer: You misunderstood me. It WILL be fine for daily driving when streetported

Let me try again : If he has his carb tuned properly,it will be totally streetable, and fine to drive.

May be off topic, but I have a half bridge fd, and it's not bad at all around town. Just idles around 1600, and has trouble with hot starts. Besides that though, it's not bad
