That's when we will probably get banned! The piston folks have no idea what they are about to be dealing with.

Neon is 1700 or a bit more

The rules say FWD can wieght 1700 min wieghts
and the RWD's 2100 min wieghts

The Neon is sponsored by chrysler
and has a trailer worth 500K+
and they are bulding a new neon too
with a quarter of a million invested in it so far according to sources I talked to at the track

Ken and Jesus are pretty much self-sponsored
and still can compete with the Big Boys

I know that there are things like G-Force trannies that count against you and you have to add weight. Or at least that was what Ken told me.

Ken has a pport with big throttle bodies running alcohol. Jesus made the pports for Ken so that is why you will see "Kilo Racing" decals on his car.

those runs probly in NOPI
where you can take the wieght off

Ken is racing in a NOPI event this coming weekend
and he also can reduce his wieght for the event

NHRA and IDRC are what really matters

why cause eric and B run in the IDRC and get there ***'s handed to them by the VW's

The only place where they can dominate is NOPI
maybe until now, now that Ken is racing this weekend

Bisi's specs show a D15B6 motor used for those times. Impressive for only 1.5 liters!

That is really good but the way that they manipulate weight in the NHRA to give weaker cars an advantage sucks.
Ken weighed in at 2160 lbs. and the Neon only had to weigh 1700 lbs. Granted Ken kicked his *** but if you put another 460 lbs. on the Neon he would still be walking bow-legged!
I know the reasoning behind why the NHRA does that, but in some ways it is almost as lame as bracket racing.
The cars should weigh a certain weight or higher and apply to all in the class. If your car cannot hang then you better build a faster car.

yeah, ERICS civic, that's what i saw running on meth, that's one crazy biotch, hopfully rotaries will hit 9s, i've seen both ken and jesus RX-7s run at summit racing, and it was very impressive.

i also think weight should be all the same, and why does rearwheel class has to be heavier? **** we're the ones with a bigger tranny and differentials, we're heavy in the first place, weight should be all the same.

They are both running big *** pports. Ken runs fuel injected alcohol and Jesus runs carb/gas. As far as "details", that is as far as I would go about Ken's and I don't have any other details for Jesus.
Ken runs a G-Force tranny and I think Jesus is as well.

Ken's first run with the new clutch setup at NOPI did not work. Ran a 14. Yuck! So he made a change and got back in the 10.50's on the second qualifying run. I had a pretty good time yesterday and took a lot of really nice pics.
The car in the middle of this pic sitting to the side is Ken's rotary powered Maxton Rollerskate. They used it for a tow vehicle when the clutch burned up on the 4 wheeler.

y'know what I like about Jesus's car? Without some of the stickers on it, you could walk right past it and not even twig as to what it can do.

Out of curiousity, are any of these race meetings noise restricted at all? What kind of muffling, if any, do these 1st gens run? In the urban racer pic is that the dump pipe under the passengers door?
.... any actual measurement of how loud they are?

I had to weld up a muffler for David Sanchez to race there but he did not tell me the specifics on the rules.
Judging by the muffler he through under it it was not very much as far as noise restictions go. It was a real short glasspac.
Ken's was pretty quiet compared to a bunch of the cars. I don't think it was nearly as quiet as David's so he had more restriction than most of them I would guess.
He Pepe Loco and some of the other rotors even made my teeth hurt when they launched.
