Confirmed! 9.968 @ 130.89 and 9.987 @ 130.68. New NHRA all-motor record! It's posted on the NHRA page:
NHRA Moroso Saturday all-motor qualifying

I wanted to go so bad. Last minute complications kept me in Miami

Hell yeah it is all about the rotaries
I believe he slapped on the 13b again because those **** wouldn't let him race with 20B. Either way he said he would win/..

Yep. They'll probably try to pull some bs about having to use only 12A's next or kick him into a different class. Damn drag ****'s.

Jesus Padilla runs 9.9 @131mph back to back sets a new NHRA record wins the all motor class with his 1985 first gen. Rx7. This was a glorious day for the rotary engine. Not only did mazda win in the all motor class but in the Modified class it was an all Mazda Rx7 finals in both lanes. Carlos Gonzales with his 1990 second gen. won running 8.0 @ 170mph against a 1983 first gen Rx7 running 8.2 ...

Jesus Padilla and Ken Scheppers Rx7's are the heaviest rear wheel drive cars in the all motor class. NHRA has them tiping the scales at 2100lbs while the honda's and vw's are in the 1650lbs .. congrats to Jesus Padilla and Carlos Gonzales

Glorious day indeed !!!!!

I knew it was a matter of time.....

Funny how he had the power to run 9's with the 3 rotor and he does with the 2 rotor....

Congrats to both Padilla and Gonzales for their hard work.

Scheepers will follow soon...

Congrats to Jesus, even with all the downfalls and obstacles by the NHRA, he still kept at it, and it payed off.

Yeah 9s on an n/a is almost unbelievible! Here in Sweden we only got an 11.42s of an RX-4 w/ a PP 13B.
But! we hope to have 320-340 hp with our new engine w/ Ron's alcohol injection. Future will tell...
