It fits great in a FD !
Attached are the pictures.
Rafael is probably the most detail oriented vendor i've ever met in this industry. It's so impressive how much effort he put into every tiny detail.
The shop would not believe this impressive kit was put together by some guy in his house !
We are truly lucky to have this kit available in the FD community.
anyways, here are some pictures, i'll try to snap more detailed pics and provide detail of my setup when i get some time.
install is handled by LMR Development in Chino Hills, California. Pm me for his contact detail, he's VERY familiar with FD, and also done alot of high level race car fabrication works.
i'm using a 370z transmission
exedy triple clutch
plan to use the serial nine shifter, we measured it after mock up, this should be perfect
after removing the ppf, we used the sikky rear diff brace
Most of the packaging and ordering/etc, as well as some of the light fab/cleanup work is conducted from my home workshop, but there have been a few helpful hands from local friends's small businesses that have been involved in making the production of the kit easier.
I appreciate the kind words and posting of the FD install photos. It seems to me that it clears just as well on the FD upfront as it does in the FC so that is great news.
Looking forward to any updates and am here to answer any questions/concerns.

Can't decide if I'm going to put mine in the RX8 yet. The 20b will go in in a couple months NA until I can get all the supercharger bits figured out and ordered. That may be a couple years, but I may just go ahead and have my fabricator get it working. Hopefully it'll be at DGRR next year....
A member & friend of mine who frequents a particular facebook group has brought it to my attention that an individual or entity NOT ASSOCIATED with myself as a privateer is attempting to sell this kit or a clone of this kit as their own to gullible people by messaging them privately and offering them a group-buy or discounted price on their own "version" of this kit.
They are also emailing certain other Rotary-heads and asking very specific and pointed questions about tolerances required and other parameters of the custom designed & machined parts that I provide as part of the kit, including pictures highlighting specific features of said parts. I presume this person is referencing these parts and their application in order to reverse-engineer as well as possibly seek advice on how to produce them properly, or they require assistance on how to provide proper technical documentation to a machinist due to their lack of knowledge or resources in that department.
I do not have a facebook account and I do not and have not sold to anyone through any facebook group unless they signed up here as a member of the forum and PM'd me here- and I am not looking to put anyone on blast until I find out more information, but I have been notified that this is something that has happened before to other people making parts to provide solutions to this small and fairly tight-knit community.
This is the second time someone has attempted to snipe sales or rip off the design of this product in particular that I put a lot of effort into and spent many many months communicating and testing with experienced people during our short racing season who were in need of a proper solution at a fair price.
The first attempt did not go smoothly for that naive person.
Those who have been following will note that this kit has been in development since 2015 and has had 3 years of gruelling legitimate time-attack testing in a purpose built race-car and we take data and make minute adjustments to make it as best as I can every time the next run is produced while keeping it affordable.
After posting about this 5 years ago, there was a lot of initial interest. Early attempts to make a low volume run were unsuccessful unless I made ZERO dollars on it, and the amount of time invested would surely put me at a loss. Though it turned out that a lot of you forum members PM'd me and practically begged me to make it happen; and I made good on the promise to continue to investigate its viability. It required a lot of haggling and bartering and calling in favours to make such low-volume runs. If I were to count all the hours I spent on this particular kit- I would definitely be at a net loss and my accountant would slap me, but thankfully I enjoy most of what these projects involve; so I don't count my time as money in this case. And I also like seeing and hearing of people putting these parts to use, and I am proud of the results and the success of friends and customers using these parts; I am spoiled by the kind words I've received from customers immediately after opening the box- It makes the minuscule profits worth it.
So in short, I only have a few more things to say as I continue making these kits for the time being; If you're looking for a solution for your transmission adapter needs whether you choose a 370z trans or other, I would advise that you exercise caution in who you choose to deal with.
I would also appreciate it if any members here are contacted or come across similar instances of offers or advertisements for said product on ANY PLATFORM that I be notified so that I can take the necessary actions to stop an unscrupulous person piggybacking on the development efforts of others unfairly.
Lastly; if this devious person or party- or anyone with similar intentions- is reading this post here; Think twice about what you are doing.

I hate to hear that, as per normal...no good deed goes unpunished. Some people are just trash.
I've seen ALOT of that in the rotary community, where passionate innovators spend countless hours creating a superior product then some copy cat scam job swoops in, steals the design, manufactures a crappier version of the same thing, undercuts the original innovator by cutting corners, and proceeds to rep the product as his across every social platform out there. I'm near 99% sure I know who it is, or one of the three people I'm thinking of is the culprit.
Thanks for having class man, in a world of **** it really goes a long way.
Though I need to reiterate that (as this person or peoples use multiple aliases) that I can't point fingers just yet- nor has anything popped up for sale.
TBH, I don't think the person knows what they're getting into and how much work it actually is.
I'm asking anyone who chooses to share information with me to "Please withhold judgement and do not single anyone out and/or cast aspersions" until more information comes to light. Eventually if they intend to sell them- they will have to make it public and then the cat will be out of the bag.
I just wanted to warn everyone of copy-cat products in general at this time and I offer no sympathy or technical advice for those that choose to buy from individuals that support this type of behavior or practice.
Their inability to respect other people's work will not slow me down at this time and I have every intention of producing another run soon.

Thats terrible! I know that this kit has been grabbing a lot more attention lately as people are considering this transmission as a viable option. I have pointed people to look at this tread for the kit as I’m interested as well (just waiting for income tax to come in) and it’s exciting and I am definitely grateful to all who put the time and create products for our aging cars. I was just telling my friends last night that it’s awesome how Rx7 guys are constantly creating parts and making things that will help these cars. I hope that they don’t stoop and try to copy and make an inferior product because it’s only going to cost someone else more money to fix issues that they didn’t take the time to figure out as you have.
Seems so stupid to try to rip this off. It's not like it's high volume high profit stuff. If they succeed it will just erode any tiny amount of profit on the kit and then it won't be worth anyone's time to make. It's not like more than 100-200 of these will ever be sold. And the quality of components and machining vs what is charged does not leave room for big profits to make it worth while.
No one will be getting any specs from mine that's for sure.
This is nice , going to keep reading and I wonder will this work on my Rx3. I’m going to be driving as weekend and would love a smooth shift . I’ll read more and see what I decide I still have while before car is ready to drive

Did you have to do anything with the shifter or is the stock shifter location practical enough? Thank you

As long as you have a 13B/20B and the transmission will fit in your car, then it will work. I am not sure if any of the other rotary engines share the same dimensions at or passed the rear iron bolt flange for the transmission, so you could try it and see how it works out (12A, etc.) but the 13B and 20B's utilize a rear section that is similar enough that any differences would be taken up with the slave cylinder and provided adjustment shims.
Mounting, shifter, driveshaft is up to you how you would like to install it.
I don't think the shifter will be in a desirable shifter for your chassis being that it looks shorter- but I'm not an RX3 guy so you would know more than I do.
I am working on a remote shifter but it's still months and months away from being put in a driving car, as I'm still playing around with the design and reducing complexity of the assembly. The idea works, but the application is not ready for production parts. In any case, it's something you or someone you know may be able to fabricate a solution for if you are keen to test and adjust. This is a lot easier with welding/cutting parts to adjust them. It should take a few attempts to get it good to go.

Hey guys, I did an unboxing video so you can get a better understanding for what you're paying for. I'll also keep posting videos as I move forward with install and track days.
Really nice vid for your first of this kind, Tom! you're a natural.
Looking forward to seeing any additional videos you make, with good or bad things to say so that I may improve anything that needs attention. Thanks for taking the time to showcase it.
I am going to be doing another install soon, so I'll be able to take some high-res photos of the install process too.
Your FD is a beaut. Lots of love went in that car, I hope the JK40C lets you enjoy it more.
