For the all motor class??
Have they changed the rules again?? One minute they ban the 3 rotor now its allowed again. If thats the case thats damn good to hear. Let them try and catch that thing...

Ken has pics and a writeup on it at www.kenscheepers.com It is great that Kilo was able to get back on track with things. After they outlawed the 3 rotor in the All-Motor that set him back a year (last year). Then Ken was doing great last year but slammed into the wall this year and that shut his season down.
I need to find out if the RX8 is back from Florida yet so I can go over to Ken's and see it

FYI - From his website "We will be building a turbo charged, peripheral ported, Electronic fuel injected, 2-Rotor rotary running on methanol and anticipate producing approximately 900hp in a 2000lb car."

So far, it seems that this is a hard to tune combo, hopefully they will be able to get it right, and run the expected times!

CONGRATS!!! to Jesus!, I just hope that by next year his car is making more HP, it looks like he's gonna need it with the new Skunk2 car that Charles Madrid was running at the last NHRA event this year.

The way I figure, NHRA will fix teh rules once again, by either taking weight off from Kilo's car, or upping the weight on the FWD.

Mazda gave the shell to Ken last year. When his first gen was totalled it kind of kick started the RX8 project a little earlier than expected.

I don't know about the 2nd gen front covers but if you look at Ken Scheepers site on his rx8 they use a 1st gen front cover with front mount. I use a front mount on a 13brew in my datsun 1200 it just makes mounting easier. Also I use the Moroso aluminum oil pan and it only works with the 1st gen front cover. You'll hear some people say that they will crack but hell I've never had an issue with them and I run solid mounts on my engine and transmission. You look at all the cars from Florida and Puerto Rico they all run the 1st gen front cover and they are making some serious HP.

so, why are they using the 1st gen front covers? Just because of the oil pan?

On my last post I stated that it makes mounting the engine easier.
