Injector Sizes?

Injector Sizes?

Can you help? i am in the Uk and i dont know how to convert your lb system into the cc if you get what i mean?

I will explane, I have been looking on E-Bay at Injectors etc and noticed that the US ones all say (for example) 30lb Injectors where as the Uk etc call them 550cc injectors. My problem is i dont know how to convert them to CC can and one enlighten me?

I typed a nice long conversion for you that got erased by the problems over the weekend. Basically it came down to an injector that flows 1000cc/min of petroleum is the same as 87 lbs/hr.
I think Lbs/hr is a bad way to rate injectors because different fuels have different densities, whereas I believe in injector must be rated to flow a certain volume. The density of the fuel would change with temperature, etc., anyway.

So how do i convert CC to LB?

Or has anyone got a conversion chart?

Like tyson said one is in volume (cc/min) and the other is in weight (lb/hr). The density (mass/volume) of the gas can yield the weight, then you would need to determine/find the weight of your gas per cc. That will give you the conversion.

To do 550 cc injectors for gasoline, multiply 87 by .55. 1600 cc is 87 multiplied by 1.6, etc.

30lb injectors are 315cc
160# are 1680cc

Take the lbhr size x 10.5 to get cc's

Take the cc size / 10.5 to get lbhr's

very simple..
