Info on Rotary Engineering Race motor

I just helped a friend take a Rotary Engineering (Calif circa 1983) race crate engine out of his SA for a V-8 transplant. I now have the engine sitting on a cart in my basement and need to know more about it and it's capabilities. He said it had about 700-800mi on it but has been stored for 15 years. I know personally all this to be true and rode in the car - it was very fast. The motor is a 4-port, street ported, Weber carbed, with hardened stationary gears and a Racing Beat Header dual exhaust. It came with a lightened steel flywheel and a Centerforce clutch and was guaranteed for 225+ hp.
I have an FC I built last year but the hp is a little lower than I would like. My intentions are to transplant the "new" engine into the FC. The rotors turned over with no problem and compression seemed, although not tested, fine. One item I noticed is the forward mounts instead of the center FC mounts. Can I replace the pan and use center mounts?
If anyone knows of these engines as to specs etc please let me know. If you have any thoughts as to the transplant I intend also let me know. Finall, after such a long hibernation, is there anything you would suggest to bring it back to life. Thanks much.
Al

run a search using "rotary engineering", there was a thread fairly recently (within the last 3 months) in which someone posted a page from their catalog and it had the descriptions listed.

as for fitting the engine to an FC3, custom mounting will be your only avenue.

Thanks . I did a search and found the guy who posted about buying a rex with a RE motor. I gave him a PM and hopfully he will get back to me with some more info. Is there anyone who has more info or maybe a manual on this set up? Anyone ever owned one in an RX7?

Rotarygod - If you could scan the catalog and either post it or PM me it would be so much help. It looks like this setup will do what I want, I just need more research. Thanks for your help.

Here are some pictures and I have others in the 1st gen specific forum. The first picture is a piece I will need as he lost one of them while cleaning the carbs. Any ideas on where I could get one? Also what does it do?

Thingie in the first picture is the Accelerator Pump, it pumps a small amount of gas into the barrels when you put the accelerator to the floor.

You need it
