IDA Style Fuel Injection? (2nd Gen.)
Well my question is pretty straight forward. I was reading a thread about carbing a second gen, it sounded neat but I really don't want a carb. Then I was thinking about using the side draft carb kit from racing beat (the one that bolts to your LIM) and using a IDA style fuel injection system with a Microtech EMS.
The injection system would look like these.
But my question is would this sytem be better than just using a Microtech with the stock Intake, or would it be a waste of time.

The IDA setup will flow much more air much faster than the stock manifold will. The stock manifold is designed around a certain rpm range and power level. It can be made to perform very well though. There will be noticeable differences in the powerband between the 2 styles. If I were to guess I would say that the stock manifold will give better low end power while the IDA will give better top end. This is just a guess though. The system that Racing Beat sells that bolts to the stock lower manifold is for a DCOE style sidedraft. I have this upper manifold and will gladly sell it as I have no use for it. Mazdatrix has 1 piece IDA style downdraft carb manifolds available for all rotary styles.

These throttle would be IDA/DOCE they would work in either way. How much would you be selling the monifold for? I might not be able to buy it right now but I would definatly be in the market for it in a couple of months.
