How far can the 12A be stretched?

I am thinking of using the stock 12A out of my '82 for a while.

My question is simple; can I get 240-320hp out of the 12A? And can I do this with a N/A setup? Or would a turbo be more worthwhile?

Also, a very out there idea, but... What about the RX8 13B? That should fit in the engine bay with a little coaxing and I think with an NA setup or even a turbo I'd meet or exceed my power goal.

Any ideas?

what's your budget?

you can get the 12A ported and built, then turbocharge it to meet your goals. unless this is an all-out race car, that's the only way you're going to meet that power goal and keep it "streetable".

as for the Renesis swap ... refer to my first question.

diabolical1 has the right question. the sky is the limit depending on budget. You can make well over 600 with 12a if you have the right knowledge and budget. hit up robert at www.rotaryshack.com

He can do wonders with a 12a.
