hks ss downpipe
does the hks downpipe require the removal of the turbo studs?
the pettit downpipe apparently does not, but I've heard that some of the others do...

I bought a used PFS mildsteel DP. It has the same shape as the HKS one. It seems to be a little restrictive where it's bolted up to the manifold bc it's not 3" in that location. However, it was pretty easy to bolt it on with the studs in place. Definitely get one w/o removal of the studs. M2 is best if you can pay $300 but HKS's mild steel is worth the $200 for sure. I don't think it makes too much difference MS or SS, just that SS is 4 lb lighter and the M2 one may flow a little better.
Mine was used so I got it cheap or else I would have spent $300 for the M2. $100 isn't that much difference.

I just put my petitt on. one stud gets in the way but what I did was put a crow bar under the engine and moved it about half an inch and was able to slip the pipe over the stud.
