I'm trying to figure out prices becuase it's cheaper to get them from Japan then here for one thing and there are too many different part numbers for the same part with the same description.
Example:
Front rotor housing
N3A1-10-B10
N3Y1-10-S70
N3Y2-10-S70
Rear rotor housing
N3A1-10-B50
N3Y1-10-S80
Slightly different prices which I can't post.
Another dilemna:
I can go with RX-8 eccentric shaft
or Lightened RX-7 eccentric shaft (for 3X the $)?
Eccentric shaft is cross drilled, with holes chamfered. Oil passages opened up throughout shaft, and shaft is lightened.

Just get the rx8 shaft.... it need just slight (easy) modifications, and to be used with rx8 bearings, so get the Rx8 stat gears which come with "main" bearings, and get Rx8 rotor bearings. I believe the standard for this is to just get the largest set of bearings. Make sure you get the ones for the Manual trans rx8.
unless you plan to rev past 9000 other than rx8 parts in this regard are a waste
I can't help you with the other parts except to say the difference in rotor housings for a specific model (like rew etc) are almost always smog stuff for the port air injection and of course the US rear has EGR (possibly except 95) the JDM rear probably has no egr in the housing because the engine had no egr. There is probably a part number with the least, maybe even no smog control provisions, if so then you can get two of those.
The bottom line is that if you don't care about smog all of the rotor housings for a given model are interchangeable, even front to rear, or 2 fronts and 2 rears etc,

Well my engine was built with either two front or two rear rotors. I had smog in place. I don't want to do the same thing the previous builder did.
Don't new rotors come with bearings allready pressed in?
I'm not sure the weight difference or how improved the oil passages are with the racing eccentric shaft.
I would like to go as high reving as possible. The RX8 is mooth at 9k rpms and I like that. I can do 12k rpm's on my bike, so a 7,500 redline would not be fun.

Ok, Mazdacomp is back online and I got through.
N3Y2 is the latest number that supercedes previous part #'s that shouldn't still be listed.
Eccentric shaft, lightened - is for a 12A even though it's listed under 13B.
Rx8 bearings are the same part #'s as Rx7, so no need to swap them.
Does anybody know how to tell by looking at the rotor housings which is front and which is rear?
