half bridge motor....

Who Builds an awesome 1/2 bridge motor, i've checked all the "know" tuners/egine builders but i just want to know who has had what built by who.

if you could PM me some specs/prices i would really apreciate it i have to get this project started soon before the stock motor really lets itself go.

Call Sidepex in Temple City. 626/291-2133 I only have good experience with them. There are other places also in LA. Do a search in the west forum.

15 years in AUS to get right. OMG what a ******* crock of **** !

It took many years for some homosexual in aus to copy what people were doing in japan and what was described in factory performance hot up procedures for the FC/FD turbo. I seriously hope that **** was not fed to those boys in that shop? Lots of people in aus love to claim credit for ideas to make their head bigger :P

Too BDC, thats a fucken sick porting job ! FULL PROPS, this man knows how to do quality work !!!!!!

Anyone happen to know where to get a good 1/2 bridge porting template? Those ports do look very good, what do you use to finish them with?

Nope, I don't, but perhaps I ought to. I have a specific design behind all of my bridgeports; different specifications that I use like Spec-C (for conservative), Spec-M (for moderate; a bit longer BP cut), and Spec-X for a bit more aggressive (longer BP, wider, gets close to the water jacket o-ring land, requires bevelling the rotor housing edge).

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread.

Keep your eye on Brian “BDC” Caine as he is an up and comer in Rotary-World…

Brian has posted 50-60 pictures of his ports on the “other” forum and they impressed me from the getgo.

Brian also tunes and generally finds around 500 rwhp on a well built 13b with his ports but what has always impressed me about his motors is the huge flat high torque curve…

It almost isn’t a curve.

I run Brian’s Raceports.

When i received them i had mixed emotions as to whether to put them on my Bar or bolt them together and make some noise.

Of course the noise won out and they make ALOT of it.

During the multiyear development project for my twin setup i found that the major challenge was not the engineering but finding vendors that were capable of delivering a solid product. I found that there are a number of vendors whose internet reputation far exceeds their product quality so i recommend proceeding with great caution especially in regard to engines.

Brian has been one of my most positive experiences and has my unqualified recommendation. i am really happy to see Brian showcasing his excellent work on the “big forum.”

If you do decide to sell a template, please let us know, Ive been looking for a good half-bridge for a while. Perhaps an instructional video to go with it as well? Im sure a well made, in-depth porting video from a reputable porter would sell.

templates are good for the oriface shape, but i think most guys will agree that some very important work is done where you CAN'T see.

That's not too bad, 2a+RoN. That looks alot l ike the street version I do except yours opens later but closes later. I bet it's still pretty "brappy".
