greddy water pump pulley,is it time for replacement?

Yesterday I noice that the all the tiny lines have been worn off, I dont remember it being this way until after the sunday(dyno day). What i would like to know is , what cuase them to wear off like they did, and do I need to replace the the pulley. Its kinda polishing the metal were the belt spins it.

Take a center punch and punch marks all around (not to deep ) to restore the grip . The custom waterpump pullies that Davids son has made do not have any marks or grooves . No one has said that there is a problem with slipping . Davids wp pulley is chrome plated and does not slip but he does have the custom idler he made . Remove the pulley and punch away if you think it is slipping .
