Gauges & sensors and stuff

Ok, I don't know the first thing about gauges and all them gadgets, and hooking them up. I've never needed them (all regular street cars) But now I've got to get a couple for my Race car, and another couple for my '79 getting a 13bt.

I'm going to be needing an Exhaust Gas Temp gauge that can handle 1700 degrees Farenheit (normal temperature), most only read up to 1600 max.
I'll need oil/water temp gauge(s)
Oil pressure gauge(s)
Boost Gauge
Air/Fuel ratio gauge(s)

What else should I be looking for?

Also, when I buy the "gauge" does it come with the appropriate sensors (water temp sensor and what not for the water temp gauge?)

EGT
You can get an EGT gauge, sending unit (probe) and light kit for around $70-80 from Aircraftspruce.com. They sell all types but this one has a range of 0-1700F and is made by Westach. It is very reliable, accurate and lightweight and typically are used in small aircrafts but works fine for our cars.

AIR/FUEL
There are all types of air/fuel mixture gauges out there that are pretty good Autometer, Halmeter, etc. I custom make these with various sizes and color LED's including a dot/bar mode and brightness switch.

BOOST
These range from around $10 to over a hundred. Yes, $10 from any industrial supply company but you'd have to custom install it. Or you can get the typical ones you see in many cars that mounts into an A pillar pod.

All these including the weter temp, fuel pressure, oil pressure are equally as important.

$70-$80 for the EGT is a lot better than the $220 I've been seeing everywhere. Now I need to find a way to find exactly what I need, and tell my parents cause they want a Christmas list for me, might as well put it to good use, rather than them getting clothes I'll never wear.. when I start getting naked from worn out clothes, then I go buy some more.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out. I need something to replace my Greddy gauge because it stopped working.

You can get Westach to custom make them too in different temeperature ranges C or F and different colors to represent certain ranges.
