free/very cheep mods???

hey does anyone have any cheep/free mods that people can do?? if so post them.
here is one i was thinking about but not sure if it will work
on your air pump there is a tube that goes to the block and a tube that goes to the airbox. if you remove the tube from the airbox (which is sucking in air i would think you may get more airflow sence there is no vaccume in your airbox. has anyone done this or do you know if its safe??

if you disconnect that hose, then your auxillary valves won't work or something like that. cheap mods....remove p/s pump, a/c compressor, air pump and tie the auxillary valves open.....that's if emission is not a problem. also turn up the music and just cruise it will seem fast...that's the cheapest mod of all

okay the reason why you cant remove the tube going to the airbox is because it has to sense the vacuum that is being created by your engine. it doesnt just need to "suck in air" from anywhere.

If theres vacume anywhere between the start of your inlet track and the throttle butterfly's then you've got some serious probs.
So now the pipe from the air box to the air pump does not 'sense' vacume from the engine. The pipe going from air box to the air pump is just feeding the air pump with air.. makes sense.. if you remove it from the air box your air pump will get unfiltered air going to it, not good.
If you have a series 4 and dont care about emmissions just take the whole air pump assembly off.

Auto Zone has a small filter that'll fit on the Air Pump.... Cover up the hole in the box and you'll be fine(my car run just fine).... Easy mod would be.... make sure your Auxillary Port works... both of them....
