went to the 1/8th mile track last night.
ran 8.31 @ 82 with a 1.66 60'.
this was 12psi and drag radials.
does anyone know if anyone has gone 7's in the 1/8 on the stock turbo?

Yea.... You got it right!
Actually... I won't stoop to that level, and I will try to answer the question.
I'm sure somebody has gone that fast in the 1/8th. with stock turbos.
I take it you have a 3rd. gen.?
Your 0-60' times are the most important. Try to be under 2 seconds and you will run at least mid 13's.
The "dumbass" comment was in reference to a guy who asked how fast his car would go in the 1/4. I replyed high 12's to low 13's, and your reply was DUMBASS!.... Don't know what that was about, but that's O.K. We are all brothers here.

ill repost the facts:
its a 2nd gen. my 60' was 1.66(seconds) and a two cars could have identical below 2.0 sixty foots and one car run 2 seconds faster. i dont need drag racing tips, i just wanted to know if anyone has run 7.99 or better on a stock 2nd gen turbo.
the dumbass comment if i remeber was directed at the guy who asked the question. dont ask "what could i run" just run it.

So you have a black 2nd. gen.! That's what I have!
Those 60' times are very nice! Especially for a stock turbo!
What kind of drag radials are you using?
You must be in the low 13's in the 1/4?

I can usually run 8.0's at will on stock street tires, and I can run 7.8-7.9 flat with drag radials, stock turbos, original, untouched engine. My biggest problem running drag radials (BFG 255/16's) is that I don't feel comfortable launching above 4K due to my fears about the stock rear end breaking. I actually ran a 7.8 with a stock clutch/flywheel combo, but have slowed a bit with the addition of an ACT Extreme and lightweight flywheel mostly due to the car bogging off the line. But it's very doable with the stock engine/turbos(sequential)..I think if I optimized everything and ran an upgraded rear end, I'd max out around a 7.6 or so.

Eh, it's forgiveable. I didn't bother to read that he had a first gen...I think he's just a bit frustrated with the lack of "quality" feedback. Been there myself :-) Sometimes in my haste to help, I don't bother to read the entire question.

my abruptness shows my SHORT AMOUNT OF TOLERANCE. everytime i ask a question on here, no one answers me. my intellegence has nothing to do with my use of capitol letters to make a point.

The reason you got such a good et is because of that great 60foot. The first 60 feet is the most important part of the track because the time you save there compounds as you go down the track (more so for the 1/4 than the 1/8). This reflects in you mph as its pretty low for a 8.31.
I'd expect to see that mph on a high 8 run like 8.7 or so. You should be proud of running a 1.66 60'. With a normal drag radial 60 feet being around 1.8-1.9 you would have been 8.5-8.6
To try and answer your question....... around 330rwhp is whats needed to bust into the 7's. With a 60' time like yours it would be possible with prob 300-310rwhp. The stock turbo on a TII is good for AROUND 260rwhp (this is what I've heard anyway). I'd say your getting real close to the limit of the stock turbo. You might be able to turn the boost up a little more and run a 8.1 or so but I doubt you could break into the 7s with it.
I'm not saying with all the planets aligned just right that its not possible just very unlikely.
