FD tranny with an FC bellhousing?

Will that work? Just wondering if anyone has converted their FD tranny like this to make it a push type clutch.

The FD tranny has a longer input shaft.

Isn't it the other way around?
I thought the FC has the longer input shaft, so swapping bell housings isn't really going to help.

Damn, well thats what I needed to know....once I get the tranny out, I'll do some measuring.

I've heard of these kits for converting the FD tranny to a pull type....where would I find something like that?

I know OS Giken makes that conversion kit...like $200 for piece of metal. :P
Every once in a while, those pieces pop up on eBay.

Like crispeed said, the FD shaft is longer. Its a major pain in the butt to cut it down, in reality, it should be machined. One easy way out, is to put the FD rear tail housing on a FC transmission. The FC bellhousing is roughly .60" shorter as well, so it will move your engine back .60", and gain push type clutch. You'll also shed about 10lbs. Everything adds up right
