I haven't heard about the car in years.... wonder if it is still around or if he has gone faster. The car could technically be a street car.

I'd say he is one of the fastest on here.... excluding tube frame 20B monsters.

If it is street Rx7 it would be Adam sarawatori or something like that, He ran a 8.8 or 8.9 back like 7 years ago or something

7 years ago, the quickest FD in the U.S. was probably Kevin Wyum's car @ 10.9x. FDs have only been running 8s and in the last 2-3 years, and those cars are considerably different from street cars.

A friend of mine has a FD that is basically a streetcar. Stock drivetrain and the only thing done to the interior is a roll cage. He runs 10.1@135mph. Still wieghs the factory wieght and puts down 730hp without nitrous.

730 RWHP in a stock weight FD should be good for 145+ mph trap speeds. So how much power is he making again?

not actually..... still working out bugs like usuall. I only managed a 11.51 @123 two weeks ago. That's only with 389 to the tires ( nitto 555r's ). Maybe I'll go faster one day if I ever figure out how to make some real power.

Eric, you might try letting someone else build/tune it?

I tried that the first time and it costed me tes of thousands of dollars. The car is built and ready to rock now. It's just a matter of working out the bugs. Nothing wrong with my tuner. Jeff48 is the best power fc tuner in the area.

Well, he did say 730HP which would be about 620RW which would prob be about right for those traps

He is making 730rwhp. He has trapped over 140mph but 10.1@135mph was his fastest time. I think something was wrong with ignition or something related that cut him off at 135mph. Because he ran like 2 other runs and ran 135mph even every time. His car can easily run 9's but the car isn't perfectly tuned yet.

Actually, he said the car puts down 730 horsepower. "Puts down" implies measurement at the rear wheels.

I'd like to hear more about the magical 9-second car still running the stock drivetrain. How many axles has he broken so far? What are his 60-foot times? What turbo is he using? Boost level?

Not 9 seconds. 10 seconds buddy. There's an article about it in RXtuner. Its an orange FD. He's running a T-88 if I remember correctly. I have no idea how many axles or trannies he goes through. Yet I've never seen him replace them.

I'm not your buddy, pal, and 10.1 is close enough to the 9s for the purpose of this discussion.

There's an article about it in RXtuner.
Well that proves everything. I'm sure they verify each owner's claims by dyno'ing their car, just like the other magazines.

On a 13B? 730 RWHP with a T-88??

If he's knocking on 9 seconds like you say he is, he's breaking parts. Everyone else running that fast does sooner or later.

Even Mike Lowe in Sarasota with his Turbo 13B first gen was going through GSLSE rears like crazy, till he put a narrowed 9" ford in it. Yes it looks like a original rearend.. but it isnt. He also runs a powerglide.. and of course a different driveshaft. Looks like a stock 1st gen.. REALLY not. And IIRC it runs 9s.

Don't believe it do ya. I've seen the car and seen the slips. There's nothing really special about his car either. The interior is stock with the addition of a roll cage. Wieghs the factory wieght even. I don't know if his gears are modified that could be a possibility. He builds awesome motors thats for sure. And I always thought the FD had a stronger rear than a GSL-SE. I'm not going to argue this anymore because its not my car we're talking about. And I don't think he would be to happy about a bunch of net nerds calling B.S. on his car. I didn't build the car. I just know what I've seen and heard about it.

Demetrios K of Reactive Racing is on here. His fastest et to date is a 8.49@164mph.
He's also made the most power than anyone on this fourm. 832rwhp through an automatic on a 2rotor, all turbo, street port w/ stock 2mm apex seals.

It was shaped like an RX-7 but had a funny car-style body a full tube frame chassis, and a domestic 4-link suspension, rear end, and transmission. Oh yeah, and a 20B. Must be an RX-7.
