easy question about a rebuild

I am building a 13b streetport from scratch and the first motor I got from a 86NT it had 1 rotor bad( ate a bolt). Can I just get another rotor from a diff car or do I have to hav a matched set.

Thanks
Aaron

welcome ...

it's your choice, really. if you opt to get just one rotor from another car, then check the letter on the rotor (you'll have to clean it first) and make sure that it either matches or is within 2 letters of the one you have. if it's not then, you should probably get the rotating assembly balanced before you assemble the motor.

you could also opt to get a matching pair of rotors from another engine and side-step the "hassle".

it's your choice, but to be honest, i'd have the assembly balanced either way.
