The Defi gauges are way overpriced and cheap P.O.S. overall.
The gauge itself is all plastic and breaks very easily. Not recommended unless your just into "rice".

Unless they started remaking them, I saw the gauges that went into AARotary's car and they were plastic and very cheap in quality...IMO
Like I said IMO......everybody has one.

Do you have the Defi peak/hold guages too. I don't know what ErnieT is talking about. I mean my Defi guages is made out of all metal too and I see no plastics in them. From what I know the peak/hold guages from Defi is their top of the line guages and that is what I have in my car. Unless he is talking about the Defi tachometer that I have in my car well in that case that is the only guage that Defi have a black case on the back end of it and the rest is all metal and it is not even cheap plastics. The 52mm/60mm on the other hand is available in all metal casing and metal bezel and that is what I have. That is the only guages that Defi made at the time when we bought it well now they have their new line of guages which cost less but not as nice and fuctional. I know why maybe he haven't seen the the backend of the guages and he assume that all Defi guages are made of cheap plastics when he saw the Defi tach with the black casing. All I know that they are awesome and I know what they do for my car.

i have the autometer 2 chanel pyrometer- im happy with it.it has peak hold and the gauge matches the stock gauge cluster pretty good.its actually the second one ive had- the first was non-funcional but autometer sent me another.the sensor is mounted in my m2 downpipe close to the manifold and it gives very fast readings. with the other chanel you can moniter engine housing temp.the gauge itself is like 2 5/8" -kind of on the big side but i made it fit in the pillar mount .i know some people dont like autometer but i really am very satisfied.

Saw a new gauge mfgr today on ebay...
I found these dual AND QUAD gauges today on ebay. I love dual gauges. I know nothing about Auto Avionics, the manufacturer, and there's next to nothing in the search engines either (bad sign). Anyway, they look cool.
Anyone ever heard of Auto Avionics?

I second the Westberg Manufacturing guage. They make airplane guages... they know what they are doing.

They can build an EGT with an adjustable warning light or buzzer that you set the temp at. Just call them and ask. I also run their 30/30 boost/vac guage and no problems with either.

Westach!
I went to Westach's website. And requested the FREE catalog (hello, Racing Beat and others!). It was love at first sight. The dual gauges I wanted, adjustable warning lights... Whoo hooo!
Did I mention the catalog was FREE!
