dyno tuned today
I was up at KDR to sort out some minor issues and dyno tune the car. Best run was 358.3 rwhp and 289 lb/ft @ 15 psi. We did about 4 or 5 runs and tried 16 psi, but it was too rich and lost some top end. Dave leaned it out a tad but it was getting late so we didn't do another pull. I figure its probably making around 365 rwhp on the road with plenty of cold airflow through the intercooler. Overall I'm pretty satisfied

I'm curious as to what SR did to your turbos. I made the same power figures but at less boost on a stock port motor with factory turbos and a slightly ported wastegate.

HWO- Yeah, but I wouldn't dare run it like that all the time.. Do you know how much timing he threw into that?? I know it was a stock engine and you can run more timing, but damn... He was pushing 21 degrees!
I made 341 rwhp @ 11 psi of boost. 308 rwhp @ 9 psi. Stock sequential turbos. This was at 13 degrees timing. I later found out that my timing was off in the Haltech base map (3 degrees).

yeah silver93tt should have put tuned at 15psi so it will not blowup. which his is tuned at. if you guys want to get higher numbers and risk blowing engines for 10more hp go ahead , i would rather have safe hp

No way, I don't think its possible. Unless its tuned extremely agressively, and even then seam unreasonable. The timing would have to be way advanced and you'd be in serious risk ok detonation. I want my motor to last. The way its set up I can run 15 psi on street gas all day every day and it will be safe. I'd like to see the dyno sheet if that is true. I'll gladly have my friend scan mine.

While it may be hard to believe, its true. Jay did this on his car. Again, his timing was quite wild, but it ran.
I think you guys are also forgetting some stuff. We had full upgrades on our cars. The Haltechs really made a difference for power in tunability.
Here is the power adders when I had mine setup that way:
1) Pettit ported engine
2) FMIC
3) Pully Kit
4) Custom Intake kit
5) Full Exhaust (downpipe - midpipe - catback)
6) Haltech E6K ECU
7) Light flywheel
8) Smooth piping
Really, thats all I can think of. I dyno'd at 341 rwhp @ 11 psi. I will scan the two dyno runs.

oh your engine is ported. i thought it was stock like styk33's. its more believable but still very rare to get such high HP with stock turbos and low boost. oh well, i still wanna see dyno sheets if you did do it sweet you are guys are gonna make single turbo owners jealous

Nice dyno numbers Silver!! Very impressive. All FDs are different and won't produce exactly the same numbers even if 2 cars have the same mods. Dave warned me about running 15 psi without a fuel-press. reg. I'd like to turn my boost up past 13 psi but need to upgrade my fuel system a little more to be safe. I heard that you can program the Haltech for more power if you know how to tune. I'm going to wait till next year to get dynoed.

If anyone can host it, I'll gladly post the chart.
My mods were:
RE intake
Efini Y-pipe
Greddy FMIC (old style)
Pettit Unlimited ECU
RP downpipe
silenced midpipe
PFS cat-back.
Boost came on at 14 psi but dropped to 13.5 in the upper revs.
It came out at like 352 rwhp and 301 tq. I don't think Pettit's ECU is overly agressive timing wise. I thought these numbers were quite common! (brooks, kyle, brad, jay, josh, many others -most of them had more power put were also ported).
I would be very curious to see before and after dyno pulls of these SR upgraded twins under the same conditions. Nice number though, I'm just not sold yet as to the actual "upgrading" they do to these turbos.

I'm just wondering, are these numbers, the ones making high boost at lower PSI, quoting corrected dyno numbers or uncorrected? I'd like to go do a dyno run at 50 degree outside and quote a 340 rwhp at 10 psi. I think the given hp readings for a car at 12 psi with no porting, no fuel upgrades is around the 315 range. That's from the numerous post people make on the big list, our local list, our local dyno sessions, etc. Granted each car is different, but 340 and 350 rwhp at 12 psi....no freakin way (on stock engine).
Tim Benton
322 rwhp at 12 psi
M2 intake, M2 med IC, ceramic coated downpipe, sr resonated midpipe, PFS catback, PFC, underdrive pulley set, HKS twin ignition, 11.5 lbs flywheel I think that is all the HP relavent mods. Even though I was running rich, according to my O2 sensor, but not enough to take out fuel and make 340 rwhp.
