downpipe questions

downpipe questions

hey guys, i want to buy a downpipe for my 86 n/a. i want to upgrade the performance of my exhaust/car but i dont want to spend alot. where can i buy a downpipe and what brands are pretty good for the price?

I bought a downpipe for my 89 from Nopi....1-800-277-6674. I think it was like 250 and it is HKS. Anyway, I don't know if they'll hae something for your car, but its worth a shot.

I don't know a lot about 2nd Gen's but if your car is N/A in other words naturally aspirated I don't believe that you would have a downpipe. I think that a downpipe is only used on turboed cars because it is what takes the exhaust out of the turbos and puts it into the exhaust system. In the case of a N/A car that function would just be achieved by the headers. I could be wrong but in any case I hope that this helps.

speedracer is correct. you do not hve a downpipe if your car is n/a. you have a header. you can try the search function uing the word "header" and see what you come up w/.
you can get a pacesetter header for about $105. do some research. the info is out there.
