Doug Nash tranny swap
What's needed to install a Doug Nash 5spd behind a 13b with a rx-4 bellhousing? I need to go about this in the most economical way.
Thanks, in advance.

Machine the input shaft in the area for the pilot bearing to the same size as the factory Mazda tranny.
You'll also need a new clutch with the same input spline count as the Doug Nash.
New driveshaft and tranny mount also.

The Doug Nash 5sp / Richmond 4+1 is an excellent transmission. It can handle quite a bit of abuse. The case splits in half making maintenance and gear changes a breeze. There is a wide variety of gear ratios available. I owned the 10th one built. The majority of the internal piece lasted though 3 cars and 5 engines. The transmission went way beyond my expectations during that time period.
