hi, I was just wondering what you would recommend. Im thinking about getting a Twin Turbo or a supercharger and turbo. what would you guys recommend? And what are the pro's and con's about them?

do you own one already? what are the mods on it? what do you plan on doing with the car, road/drag race, autox etc.

 

actually, I plan on getting one soon, and both drag and drift (when I learn)

 

Dude, you just turned 16---there's nothing wrong with that, we have all been 16 once. But owning an FD at that age is a huge mistake. Kudos for posting your age, lots of guys leave that blank.

Anyway, my advice to you is to get an n/a fc, or a turbo fc if you must. those are better drift cars anyway.

It is, but it's expensive as hell to maintain and keep running 100%, and they're too rare to smack into curbs and walls. The fc is a better choice.

Definitly do some searching around the forum. I'm a little suprised you didn't get seriously flamed in this thread. And BTW, if you're looking at an FD-then you already are thinking about getting a twin turbo.

 

wanting something is one thing...having the money to pay for repairs due to hard driving is another no matter which model you go with but the older FC is cheaper and easier to find parts for in the local yards if needed. especially at your age, keep up the enthusiasm but my advice is to ask questions of your peers doing what you want to in order to see what kind of costs are involved. better to learn from others before you're in over your head.

 

im 16, go with the FC3S........trust me. Unless your on mommy and daddy's bank account, Im not sure you can afford an FD.

 

I know the FC is good at drifting, but I feel like the FD is my kind of car. Yea, I know I dont have the money to buy one, but I want to own one someday.

But yea, I want to keep it running 100% (so forget about drifting), so I know this is a newbish question, but what does the FD specialize at?
