Do you need a Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Do you need a Fuel Pressure Regulator if you run 1300 secondaries or is the stock one good enough?

Yes, why is that?

Also, how do you know how much pressure to run with a given setup? The FPR increases pressure according to boost used the vacuum line you attach to it correct?

You will always need a fuel pressure regulator. You do not need to replace the stock one, it will work fine. There's no reason to replace the stock one unless you get 1600cc injectors which require an aftermarket fuel rail.

I've seen on pages that you don't actually need a custom fuel rail for the 1600cc that you just need to replace the lower washer with a stock one, is this true?

**** - I believe that is for a 2nd gen, on a 3rd gen you need a new rail for 1600's which means you need a new regulator.

I ran 1200's in the stock 3rd gen rail with the stock regulator with no problems
