Cosmic Question

Where in the states can I get New Intake and Exhaust Gaskets for the'95 13B Cosmo?

They are not exactly 3rd Gen either.. The intake ports are larger. I need a whole set if possible.

The company called Mr.Gasket sells a sheet of gasket paper. It's some tuff work but you could trace the manifold onto the paper and make your own gasket.www.mrgasket.com

guys it really isn't that hard if you know the easy way heheh

get your gasket paper and trace the outside edge of your manifold, next cut out what you just traced. Then get a ball bean hammer, and holding the gasket you just cut out on the manifold lightly tap where the holes are with the ball pean hammer, and you will see it cuts the gasket paper where the hole is

I normally do the bolt holes first and then put a couple of bolts in there to hold the gasket firmly in place. It works a treat and saves you a shitload of money on gaskets!!!

Okay, I went to Pep Boys today. I got

    I took them to my Tuner to show him If I could use them to make the Cosmo intake gaskets, and he said, "no." That the boost will blow them out.

    He showed me some 3rd Gen ones and they are metal where they connect the manifold to the engine (although smaller).

    They way I see it, I have three options,

      Any other ideas?

          If you use silicone with them they should hold up fine. Mine do.

              How much boost are you planning on running???

              I have a 13b jc cosmo engine in my 1st gen with a huge TA-45 garret on it, at the moment i am only running 15psi boost and have had no problems with my home made gaskets blowing out, and to be honest would be amazed if even at 30 psi they blow out. On my gaskets i use a permatex non hardening sealant and have had no trouble. I know of people that have run 28+ PSI with no gasket troubles. I suggest trying them first and then if there is a problem worry about it then. How thick is your gasket material??? in miller meters please

              Might try Mazda, just tell them you have a Cosmo your restoring or the truth. They will have to look high and low but a good parts dept should be able too find them. If not email the service manager, parts manger, general manager, and owner and tell them what your loking for and that it doesnt have to be an overnight or even normal shipping time and that you understand the difficulty of what your asking. I bet you get a positive response.
