Broke apex seal, is rotor still reusable? PICS

So like the title says a piece of the apex seal chipped off and tore up the housing but I'm not sure about the rotor.

As you can see in the pics the grooves are not that deep and even though one extends to the apex seal slot it does not cut into it. I checked the slot with a feeler gauge and it does taper slightly but nothing more than about .001".

Let me know what you guys think!

I don't see any problem with smoothing down the protruding burs. Just as long as you don't take any away from the tip of the apex seal groove. Don't take my advice though. Refer to the knowledge of the gurus on the forum.

If you don't feel comfortable using it I'll buy it.

i'd fix it. sides of the groove can be sanded/filed straight, the rest is mostly cosmetic

As long as it didn't close up the sideseal area you're fine. If the apex seal groove area's buggered you can just use a file to clean it up.

How did your rebuild go. One of my rotor is the exact same as yours. Tiny little mark. Im afraid of reusing it.

it'll be fine, just knock down the sharp edges with a dremel and sanding drum, and be sure there is no chunks of old seal embedded into the rotor face.

i've reused worse rotors that still made upwards of 450whp for many many years.

Thank you very much for your reply. I feel very safe using my old rotors now. They arent bad it just the little scuffs scared me. And my rotor looks better than the one nissan guy posted so im now confident.

I have seen a rotor in much worse condition reused reliably.
